Description
This retreat focuses on cultivating insight and the awakening of the heart. Inspired by a traditional Buddhist teaching that compares the mind to a cloth that can be cleansed and brightened, we will explore practical ways of recognizing and releasing unhelpful mental and emotional patterns. As these patterns soften, qualities such as confidence, clarity, kindness, and the four brahmavihāras naturally begin to reveal themselves.
Throughout the retreat, we will alternate between sitting and walking meditation, allowing practice to deepen in a steady, grounded rhythm. The days will be shaped by meditation periods, dharma talks, and meetings with the teachers to support your unfolding understanding.
Retreatants are expected to attend the full retreat and to maintain silence for the duration of our time together. This supportive container encourages mindfulness to grow more continuous and intimate.
This retreat is appropriate for anyone interested in mindfulness or vipassanā meditation, whether you are new to silent retreat or deepening your practice. All are welcome. Together, we will create an environment of sincerity, gentleness, and curiosity as we explore the natural freedom that emerges when the heart is allowed to shine.
