☀️ Featured Retreat ☀️
Richmond, VA 23223 United States
During this retreat the focus is on the cultivation of relaxed open awareness. Open and relaxed awareness can help us to cultivate a broad and skillful understanding of our moment-to-moment experience. Participants will be encouraged to allow experience to be known in a simple way as it naturally unfolds. This integrated approach to practice is inspired by the teaching style of the Burmese monk Sayadaw U Tejaniya.

A retreat is a great way to unplug from the busyness of daily life and find some restfulness and ease. This retreat will be held partly, or mostly, outdoors, weather permitting. This is a wonderful chance to try a silent meditation retreat while surrounded by the beauty of nature. We follow the old tradition of using nature to support our spiritual journey. Nature has a lot of teachings for us, and we will explore some of those during this weekend.

During this day we will learn how open and relaxed awareness can help us to cultivate a broad and skillful understanding of our moment-to-moment experience. This retreat’s teachings will emphasize approaching meditation with relaxed interest. Participants will be encouraged to allow experience to be known in a simple way as it naturally unfolds. This integrated approach to practice is inspired by the teaching style of the Burmese monk Sayadaw U Tejaniya. It has proven to be a useful lens on meditation for beginning and experienced practitioners alike.

How can we stay calm and find peace? This is possible by systematically and calmly observing what is going on and learning not to immediately want to change things. What remains is the experience of an inner knowing without words.
The summer retreat consists of two parts. Part 1 and Part 2. These two retreats can be followed as one retreat. In that case, please register for both retreats.
The language of instruction is Dutch. For those who are not proficient in this language, the instructions and dhamma talks can be translated into English.

"May the wisdom of the Dharma guide you through life's challenges, supporting you to find peace and happiness"
